Spread Awareness by Raising Funds
One of the best ways to help spread awareness is to fundraise! To find out how we can support you in your fundraising endeavors, please contact our team on contact@ehlers-danlos.org.nz.
Register your fundraising event with Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes New Zealand here. Alternatively you can set up a personal fundraiser at our Fundraising Website, which can be used for many types of online fundraiser including in lieu of gifts for a birthday or wedding, a personal goal you want to achieve while raising money, or as an In Memoriam. See below for more details.
If you’re got an idea for your own fundraiser but aren’t sure how to go about setting it up, check out our online fundraising page. Just sign up and choose from a range of different fundraisers, create your profile and share with family and friends. Adventure’s allows you to do whatever you want, cut your hair, hold a twitch fundraiser stream, bike around the country – it’s literally a choose your own adventure!
You can also hold an online raffle, or raise money for EDSNZ in lieu of gifts for your birthday, wedding or your new addition to the family.
This website is up continuously so you can hold a fundraiser whenever you like.
If you’re interested in holding a school, or other community fundraiser, check out our brochure for schools and kids after-school activities! Our brochure is downloadable and printable so you can take it in to your kids school or group (such as scouts or venturers) to help raise awareness of EDS/HSD as well as raise funds for EDSNZ. Get your local schools involved by holding a mufti day for a gold coin donation!
